Inez van Lamsweerde
b 1963 in Amsterdam (NL). Studied at the Vogue Academy of Fashion (1983–1985) and Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam (1985–1990). 1992–1993 she was a P.S.1/New York grant recipient, where her series «Thank You Tightmaster» (1993) was created and first exhibited. Alongside artistic works such as the series «The Forest» (1995) and «Me» (1999), over the subsequent years she also made fashion photography, in part with international art institutions. For her early collaborations of this kind she worked with renown fashion houses such as Louis Vuitton, Yohji Yamamoto, Joop, and Thierry Mugler. She lives and works in New York and Amsterdam.
