«Triangle»
A western pendant to Paik’s 'TV Buddha' of 1974: Rodin's 'The Thinker' in front of a TV set. Paik brought the two together in 1976 to form a 'Triangle' in which Eastern meditation and Western introspection converge in a sculptural dialectic between different world systems. While Paik had taken the part of Buddha in 1974, he now adopts the pose of Rodin's thinker.
