«Weep Not Child – Je Ka Bere»
This videoclip for the music of Weep Not Child relates Marcel Odenbach‘s pictorial language of fragmented and contrasting pictorial fields, which he developed in various 80s videotapes, to the musical technique of rap-style speech-song and of sampling. The clip is made up of three scenes, and links the theme of emigration and cultural difference with a highly-charged, Cologne-style adaptation of Afro-American styles.
